SESSION ON ADOLESCENCE HEALTH
A seminar on cyber safety titled ‘NetWise: Be Smart, Be Safe Online’ was held at Delhi Public School on May 15, 2025 for the students of Classes IX and X conducted by Inspector Bittal Kumar, SHO of the Cybercrime Police Station, Ludhiana, and his colleague Mr. Rohit. The session aimed to raise awareness about cyber security and promote responsible online behaviour. Mr. Rohit emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal data amid growing digital dependence, while Inspector Kumar explained various cyber threats like phishing, malware, hacking, and ransomware. They highlighted how cyber breaches can lead to financial loss, identity theft, and psychological distress, especially for students. The legal implications under the Information Technology Act, 2000 were also discussed, warning that cybercrimes—even unintentional ones—could lead to serious consequences.
